HOW STRONG IS A SILVERBACK GORILLA

Silverback gorilla is a giant mountain gorilla that is muscular and heavier than the female gorilla. A mature silverback gorilla always exercises a leadership role in most mountain gorilla families. They either head the family or break off with other members to form their own gorilla families in the jungle.
Silverback mountain gorillas always live in high-altitude areas of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga gorilla national park. silverback gorillas have long saddles of hair on their backs, thick hair, saggy skin coats, and a long black back, which keeps them warm in cold temperatures in the forest.
Uganda is blessed with two national parks located in the southwest where travelers can easily spot silverback mountain gorillas and their families. Silverback gorillas can be seen in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, the home of mountain gorillas, and Mgahinga gorilla national park. However, other silverbacks can be found in Virunga national park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and volcanoes nation national park of Rwanda.
Silverback mountain gorillas can be trekked throughout the year in both the dry and rainy seasons. However, the best times to trek with mountain gorillas would be in the dry seasons during June, July, August, September, and October. also in December, January, and February, when the trekking trails are passable.
