Murchison Falls National Park is located in northern Uganda, northwest of Kampala. It extends its boundaries within four districts and beyond the Bunyoro escarpment, such as Nwoya, Kiryandongo, Masindi, and Buyisa. Murchison Falls lies in the northernmost reaches of the Albertine Rift Valley, with its terrain separated by the Victoria Nile.
