Budongo Forest is approximately 3-4 hours’ drive from Entebbe or Kampala Uganda’s capital city as you head to the magical Murchison Falls National Park. Budongo forest is the biggest Mahogany forest located in East Africa harboring a good number of chimpanzees. Budongo forest’s major tourist sites include the Kaniyo Pabidi site, the Busingiro eco-tourism site,and the Kaniyo Pabidi Ecotourism site all located at Murchison Falls National Park boundaries , and all are dominated by Mahogany and Iron-wood trees.
